“This year at Indiana University Pennsylvania Libraries, we chose to organize our National Library Week around the theme #itsatIUPLibraries. The theme references social media, but signifies the diverse range of vital resources, services, and programs we offer to our university community. Throughout the weeks before and during National Library Week we asked students to tweet us photos of their favorite things in the libraries using the hashtag #itsatIUPLibraries. To kick off National Library Week all personnel, including student workers, wore t-shirts in the University’s colors with the hashtag printed across the chest. We felt this would be a fun way to draw attention to our wonderful, talented staff so that students could identify all the people in the Library who support their academic success. Our University president, Dr. Michael Driscoll, being a great library supporter, joined us in wearing a t-shirt. In the late morning, we took a photograph of all available personnel and Dr. Driscoll on the steps of our main library, Stapleton Library. It was a beautiful day and everyone looked great—especially Dr. Driscoll in his bowtie he picked out to match the t-shirt!”
Congratulations to the IUP Libraries team!
